As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor entry and exit points within a dynamic logistics and distribution location. Your presence and routine patrols help to deter security-related incidents, while your exceptional customer service skills foster a positive environment for all visitors and staff. You will play a key role in maintaining order, managing access badges, and delivering professional communication. Pay Rate : $13.26 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

Tue 01 : 00 PM - 09 : 00 PM

Wed 01 : 00 PM - 09 : 00 PM

Thur 01 : 00 PM - 09 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Monitor access points to help control entry and exit of personnel, visitors, and vehicles at the logistics and distribution location.
  • Verify credentials and permissions for individuals seeking access to restricted areas.
  • Document and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to Allied Universal management and site leadership.
  • Provide customer service by answering questions and assisting employees, visitors, and vendors as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following site-specific protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the business premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Support emergency response activities, including assisting with evacuations or other site-specific procedures as directed.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of access control activities, incidents, and daily events.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
