Senior Full-Stack Engineer – Credit Technology Group
A leading investment firm is searching for a seasoned technical expert with full-stack development experience to join a key front-office technology group. This role supports a division specializing in complex credit instruments and niche finance solutions. The tech team coordinates closely with investment professionals to deliver custom internal platforms that augment valuation models, trade lifecycle tools, performance dashboards, and oversight across diverse financial sectors.
Core Duties
- Work with non-technical stakeholders and technical colleagues to engineer automated solutions for various operational needs.
- Construct comprehensive systems, handling everything from UI to back-end logic to deployment pipelines.
- Maintain internally developed reporting infrastructure serving both client-facing and internal reporting purposes.
- Examine and enhance data movement workflows and inter-system communication interfaces.
- Handle application deployments and address production issues as they arise within the product suite.
- Participate in day-to-day oversight of risk-related outputs across different financial asset classes.
- Assist the trading unit with live support for quantitative tools and processes.
Required Background
Education
Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or similar technical field; financial certifications are a bonus.
Technical Expertise
Strong proficiency with C# / .NET stack, Python scripting, and structured query languages.Good command of front-end structure tools (HTML, CSS), as well as layout and component libraries.Exposure to modern development stacks including .NET Core, Node.js, containerization (Docker), cloud platforms (Azure), and source control (Git).Understanding of business intelligence and analytics tools such as Power BI, Azure Databricks, and data notebooks.Experience querying and tuning performance in SQL-based systems (especially MS SQL Server, but not limited to).Comfortable working with spreadsheets for analytical tasks, especially those involving fixed-income pricing metrics.Industry Knowledge
Prior exposure to debt instruments, asset-backed securities, and other credit-related financial products.Familiarity working with structured data from portfolio management tools or loan-level datasets including but not limited to MBS, CMBS, and bespoke credit assets.Knowledge of third-party tools / libraries such as Intex, Bloomberg, 1010data, CoreLogic, and datasets from government-sponsored or agency sources.Understanding of deal-level metrics for asset-backed products such as RMBS and ABS.Professional Profile
