Job Description & Requirements Specialty : PACU - Post Anesthesia Care Discipline : RN Start Date : ASAP Duration : 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift : 10 hours, days Employment Type : Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring conscious sedation and stress test experience, with a GA or compact RN license. Responsibilities Position based in a hospital PACU with potential float to procedural areas including Heart and Vascular pre- and post-op areas Shifts are 12 hours during the day (0600-1830, 0630-1900, or 0700-1930) Includes 6-8 late days per 6-week schedule Weekend call required for the stress unit (typically 7am-1pm) May float to the stress unit or other procedural areas (Cath lab, EP, EVL, IR) as needed Patient population includes pre- and post-operative and procedural recovery, including stress testing Responsibilities include recovery care, administering medications, IV management, vital sign monitoring, patient assessments, and discharge instructions May assist with TEE / cardioversions and provide care for various procedural cases Must be able to float to a nearby facility if required Weekend call coverage is part of the schedule Requirements Active GA or compact RN license in hand Previous experience with conscious sedation required Experience performing stress tests required Ability to interpret EKGs and perform moderate sedation Must have IV start skills and be able to administer medications Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility (no local travelers) Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-605474.
