(MTSI) is seeking a Classified System Administrator to support the 53d Test and Evaluation Group (TEG) Experimental Operations Unit (EOU) at Nellis AFB. The position supports the initial standup and sustainment of the Air Force's first Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) unit, with a primary responsibility to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of EOU IT systems. The candidate will assist in developing unit IT doctrine, personnel construct, facilities, and policy concepts related to CCA. The successful candidate will work with cross-functional teams including engineers, operators, and analysts and will demonstrate strong problem-solving, adaptability, communication, leadership, and attention to detail skills.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Special Access Programs (SAP) and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) IT systems support for coordination, execution, and management of national experiments on behalf of the EOU, 53d TEG, 53d Wing, USAFWC, ACC, HAF, and CCMD staff.
- Perform IT processes and support requirements for assigned experiments; operate in multidisciplinary teams of industry, government, and military personnel (engineers, analysts, scientists, aircrew).
- Coordinate infrastructure requirements (logical addressing / routing / firewall modifications) for secure communications and coordinate virtual teleconference capabilities for the team.
- Assist the local government security professional and the Project Manager in all classified IT duties.
Essential job functions will include but may not be limited to
Coordinate and manage SAP / SCI IT systems in support of the Experimental Operations Unit (EOU).Ensure operational integrity of all computers, printers, phones, VTC, and other IT equipment to support directed experimentation activities.Coordinate infrastructure requirements for secure communications and virtual teleconferences for the team.Provide basic professional public speaking, proofreading, data entry, attention to detail, and organizational skills as part of indoctrination / debriefs.Required Skills :
Minimum of 10+ years of experience in systems administration with 5 years of IT support for SAP and / or SCI information systems.Security+ with Continuing Education certificate required.Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, maintaining, and training in response to customer requirements, including patch management, access control, password management, and account administration.Strong ability to work in a team environment with demonstrated leadership and customer interface skills.Experience with Cyber Systems development, sustainment, and baseline planning.Must maintain compliance with DoD Directive 8570 (DoDD 8570) Certification - IAT Level II.Good analytic skills, capable of network and system troubleshooting, assessment, and resolution.Ability to operate in a demanding environment while handling multiple tasks simultaneously.Strong verbal and written communications skills.Willingness to work occasional shifts.Desired Skills / Experience
Network+ and Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certifications desired.5 years of recent experience providing support for exercise, experimentation, or test on the Nevada Test and Training Range (NTTR) or equivalent.Strong work ethic and knowledge of military platforms, systems, and operations.Experience working on-site in a government client environment.Educational Requirements
Master's Degree OR Bachelor's Degree + 18 years of experience in a Classified Systems Administration role OR 22+ years of experience in a Classified Systems Administration role.Security Clearance
TS clearance with in-scope SSBI required.Ability to obtain and maintain SCI / SAP / STO clearances; current SCI desired.All hires contingent on meeting requirements for and obtaining required security clearances.U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.Travel Requirements
