Early Preschool Teacher (Ages 2 & 3)

WE ARE CURRENTLY HIRING FOR ALL LOCATIONS, DRAPER , SANDY AND RIVERTON.

About the Position :

Discovery Kids is looking for a dedicated and passionate Early Preschool Teacher to work with our mixed-age group of 2- and 3-year-olds. This role is perfect for an energetic, caring, and creative educator who is committed to fostering a warm, loving, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.

Starting Wage :

  • $15.00 per hour, with room for negotiation based on certifications, experience, and performance. Opportunities for raises are available!

Qualifications & Requirements :

  • Childcare experience required (preferably with toddlers or early preschoolers).
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Early childhood education coursework or CDA credential (preferred).
  • Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Food handler certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

    • Key Responsibilities :

  • Build strong, trusting relationships with children by creating a nurturing and safe environment.
  • Provide engaging learning experiences that foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
  • Prepare and maintain the classroom environment, ensuring it is stimulating, clean, and age-appropriate.
  • Observe, assess, and adapt lessons to meet each child’s developmental needs.
  • Commit to ongoing learning and professional growth, staying up to date with best practices in early childhood education.

    • Parent & Classroom Engagement :

  • Maintain a classroom forum with pictures and updates so parents stay informed about their child’s experiences.
