About the Role
As a Procedure Scheduler, you'll coordinate complex cardiology appointments and act as a key liaison between patients, providers, hospitals, and clinic departments. Your attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work independently will directly contribute to delivering an exceptional patient experience.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Scheduling & Coordination
Schedule and coordinate complex appointments, testing, and procedures on tight timelinesProvide patients with detailed appointment prep instructionsManage all incoming and outgoing medical recordsWork closely with the RN Watchman Coordinator to support timely schedulingPatient Communication & Triage
Serve as a centralized point of contact for patients and familiesConduct basic phone triage and respond to scheduling inquiriesMaintain patient history and ensure EMR accuracyLiaison & Support
Act as a liaison between patients, providers, hospitals, and internal departmentsSupport education efforts by preparing and distributing pre- and post-op materialsContribute to patient education content development with the clinical coordinatorDeliver outstanding customer service in a compassionate and professional mannerAdministrative Excellence
Ensure appointments are free from conflicts and documentation is completeAssist with additional administrative tasks as assignedDemonstrate initiative and independence in a fast-paced work environmentWhat You'll Need to Succeed
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED requiredMinimum of 6 months related medical office or scheduling experiencePrevious Medical Assistant experience strongly preferredStrong multitasking, organization, and communication skillsProficiency in computer systems and EMR platformsAbility to remain compassionate and professional in a busy clinic settingWork Environment
