Pay Information

$270 to $290 per hour

About The Position

  • A hospital in Iowa is seeking OB / GYN Hospitalists for locum coverage.
  • Providers will handle weekday and weekend call shifts, covering obstetrics and gynecology patients in a Level 3 Trauma setting.
  • Coverage includes triage, deliveries, ER consults, rounding, and procedures.

Job Responsibilities

  • Triage and deliver OB patients (average 65–80 deliveries / month).
  • Cover ER calls for OB / GYN.
  • Round on patients in the hospital.
  • Manage unassigned patients.
  • Perform circumcisions if able (not mandatory).
  • Provide 24-hour in-house call coverage (12-hour shifts may be considered).

    Job Requirements

  • Board Certified in OB / GYN – REQUIRED (FM OB not accepted).
  • Active IA license or IMLC eligibility – REQUIRED.
  • Fetal Monitoring certification – REQUIRED.
  • Must be willing to provide weekday coverage (Mon–Fri); weekend shifts optional.
  • Clean malpractice / background – REQUIRED.
  • 2 references (1 must be supervisory) – REQUIRED.
