The Medical Assistant will serve as the first point of contact for patients and guests at the primary care office. This role is central to ensuring a welcoming environment and supporting patients throughout their healthcare journey.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist patients and visitors as the first point of contact.

Ensure a welcoming and supportive environment for all patients.

Perform phlebotomy and other medical assisting tasks.

Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems to maintain accurate patient records.

Provide excellent patient care and customer service.

Communicate effectively with the healthcare team and patients.

Assist with administrative and clinical tasks as required.

Essential Skills

Phlebotomy

Medical assisting

Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)

Patient care

Customer service

Medical terminology

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Certified Medical Assistant - preferred but not required

3-5 years' experience as a Medical Assistant

Experience with eCW EMR preferred

Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

Initiative taker

Organized

Team player and flexible

Work Environment

This position is 100% onsite in a team-oriented environment. The clinic operates Monday through Friday, with a shift from 8am to 5pm. The team includes 6 physician providers and 7 medical assistants. Dress code is professional attire.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wellington, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00 / hr.
