Job Title
Under the direction of the Records Access Officer or the designee, process one or more of a variety of records access requests in accordance with the Public Officers Law and confidentiality and personal privacy regulations and statutes. Review incoming requests, assign requests, research print and mail rent registration records, retrieve and redact as needed copies of orders, print and mail case listings reports, IAI records, rent control records and copy, scan, and deliver copies of case files- making needed redactions, bill clients for records produced, assist with compiling records for court ordered subpoenas.
This title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS). For the duration of the NY HELPS Program, this title may be filled via a non-competitive appointment, which means no examination is required but all candidates must meet the minimum qualifications of the title for which they apply.
NON-COMPETITIVE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : One year of full-time clerical or paraprofessional experience in an office or organization which deals with housing, real estate, or property management related activities. Thirty semester credit hours of college study may substitute for the required experience.
COMPETITIVE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : Must be immediately reachable on the Civil Service list or eligible for transfer.
70.1 TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS : One year of permanent or contingent permanent in an eligible title for transfer determined to be similar by Civil Service.
