Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician Job Details Location : Palestine, Texas 75801 (East Texas healthcare jobs) Assignment Dates : January 1, 2026 – March 17, 2026 Employment Type : Locum Tenens Physician (Travel Contract) Shift Duration : 12-hour shifts (varied schedule) Estimated Weekly Hours : 36 Compensation : $5780 - $6850 estimated weekly (all-inclusive package; includes time worked and call back hours) Travel and Lodging : Recommendations available for locum tenens physicians Physician Qualifications & Requirements Board Certified Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician (required) Active, unrestricted medical license in Texas Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in OB / GYN Current certifications : ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, and other relevant credentials Proficiency in low and high-risk pregnancy management Experience with OB ultrasounds, fetal heart rate (FHR) interpretation, and gynecological procedures Ability to manage routine and complicated deliveries, including C-sections, VBACs, and multiple births Laser certification preferred Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care to patients Manage low and high-risk pregnancies, perform and interpret OB ultrasounds, and provide labor and delivery support Perform routine and complicated deliveries : vaginal, C-section, breech, and multiple births Repair 3rd and 4th degree lacerations as needed Conduct office and minor gynecology procedures (IUD placement, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.) Perform surgical gynecology procedures, including open and laparoscopic surgeries Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Apply now to join our healthcare team in Palestine, Texas and advance your career in locum tenens physician jobs!
