Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a daytime Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) position in Washington with required specialty certifications.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position in an LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum) unit
  • Day shift schedule
  • Work involves care of mothers and newborns throughout the perinatal period
  • Utilizes electronic medical records for documentation
  • Responsibilities include direct care and care management for mothers and infants in labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum
  • May supervise and delegate tasks to other nursing and non-nursing staff
  • Must demonstrate critical thinking, crisis management, and accountability in all aspects of care
  • Participation in ongoing training and adherence to professional development encouraged
  • Professional appearance and conduct is required at all times
  • No radius restriction for local candidates
  • Up to 24 hours of call off may occur during the assignment

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
  • Active WA or compact state RN license
  • One year of acute care RN experience preferred
  • Current BLS for Healthcare Providers (AHA or equivalent) required within 30 days of hire
  • AAP NRP Advanced certification required prior to completion of orientation
  • STABLE course completion required within 6 months of orientation
  • OB ALS online course required within 6 months of completing L&D training
  • AWHONN Intermediate (or Advanced) Fetal Monitoring course required within 3 months of completing L&D training
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, lifting, and assisting with patient mobility
