Director, Content Strategy

Pansophic is seeking a visionary content leader to deliver best-in-class creative that tells the stories of why families choose to entrust us with their students' dreams and educations. This role will build and manage a high-performing content ecosystem that drives awareness, engagement, and enrollments across Pansophic's portfolio of schools. The successful candidate balances creative vision with performance accountabilityensuring all content ladders back to awareness, engagement, and enrollment goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of a unified content strategy across search (SEO), copywriting (SEO, creative, CRO), social media, editorial, video, design, and emerging creative AI that drives measurable results through every touchpoint.
  • Drive continuous performance improvement for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across all channels where copy and creative are utilized.
  • Work collaboratively across the organization to ensure a seamless full-funnel approach that guides families from awareness through enrollment.
  • Champion a unified narrative across channels.
  • Ensure all contentfrom ad copy to long-form editorial to video storytellingis optimized for both performance metrics and brand resonance.
  • Establish testing frameworks to continuously improve creative effectiveness across paid, organic, and owned channels.
  • Lead the integration of AI into copy, design, video, and editorial workflows.
  • Evaluate emerging creative tools and develop systems for scaling output without sacrificing quality.
  • Innovate and implement new content technologies.
  • Build processes that enable peak team performance, including capacity planning, deep work practices, and clear workflows.
  • Mentor and grow a multidisciplinary team, creating development plans that help each member achieve their highest potential.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, creativity, and collaboration.
  • Other duties as assigned

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in content strategy, creative leadership, or related fields.
  • Experience in education, consumer brands, or mission-driven sectors preferred.
  • Proven track record leading teams across multiple content disciplines (copy, design, video, social, SEO, etc.).
  • Recognition as an SEO innovator (video search, AI search, Instagram-for-Google).
  • Deep understanding of both creative storytelling and performance marketing metrics.
  • 5+ years of experience building and managing in-house talent and external agencies.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel occasionally.
  • Within reasonable commuting distance to Tysons Corner, VA or Phoenix, AZ.
  • The annual starting salary for this position is between $130,000 $145,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography / market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This is a bonus eligible position.
