CoreCivic is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for Urgent Care to join our team. We do more than manage inmates; we provide compassionate care to those in need. We are currently looking for dedicated Advanced Registered Nurses who are passionate about delivering high-quality healthcare within an institutional setting.
The Nurse Practitioner will work under the supervision of the facility physician, providing comprehensive nursing services and patient care to our inmate population.
Key Responsibilities :
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care including executing physician’s orders and administering medications.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patients’ health care needs.
- Document physical findings and devise treatment plans in collaboration with medical professionals.
- Monitor inpatient hospitalizations and advocate for timely discharges when appropriate.
- Ensure a clean and safe work environment and adhere to healthcare regulations.
- Engage in health counseling and education for individuals and groups.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings to enhance healthcare quality.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient records and compliance with medical law.
- Respond to emergencies and provide basic medical aid as needed.
Qualifications :
