Volunteer Fleet Services has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, quality-driven person to join our Murfreesboro, TN team as a full-time Fleet Mechanic / Diesel Technician ! If you can accurately diagnose and troubleshoot all kinds of mechanical and electrical problems, we want to hear from you.

Our Fleet Mechanic / Diesel Technician earns $45.00 / hour based on experience and qualifications. We also have a terrific benefits package , which includes :

WHAT TO EXPECT AS OUR FLEET MECHANIC / DIESEL TECHNICIAN

Working hours are typically 8 : 00 am - 5 : 00 pm, Monday - Friday . Precision and accuracy are crucial as you inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain light, medium, and heavy-duty fleet vehicles, trucks, and trailers. You consistently deliver exceptional work within a quick turnaround, getting our customers' trucks back on the road and minimizing their business downtime.

Would you excel in this position? Here's what you need :

  • 3+ years of experience in a shop as a diesel tech
  • Experience with light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles
  • Specialized training in and experience with diagnosing and troubleshooting engines, transmissions, and other major components
  • Completion of OEM training courses and 608 / 609 MVAC certifications
  • Ability to perform DOT inspections
  • Ability to provide your tools
  • Knowledge of general repairs and preventative maintenance
  • Valid driver's license
  • High school diploma or equivalent

    • A CDL or ASE certification would be preferred. 4+ years of diesel experience would be a bonus!
