Assembly Technician I

Responsibilities

• Comply with current Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Confer with technical and supervisory personnel to report or resolve conditions affecting safety, efficiency, or product quality.
• Regulate / shut down equipment during emergency situations or as directed by supervisory personnel.
• Work with injection molding and operate assembly machinery in a Cleanroom and Softwall environment.
• Draw samples of products and conduct quality control tests to ensure conformance to specifications using measuring devices, microscopes, gauges, or calipers.
• Accurately record operating data, such as process conditions, test results or instrument readings as it is collected.
• Communicate information to supervisors, co-workers, and technicians as required.
• Maintain supplies by checking stock, anticipating and requesting supplies needed.
• Maintain quality standards and perform continuous quality checks to ensure that products meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements by conducting in-process inspection, line clearance, completing production records and continually monitoring the process.
• Maintain safe and clean work environment by complying with company procedures, rules and regulations and report any dangerous situations or malfunction of equipment.
• Participate in product and equipment investigations, report and investigate non-conformities.
• Read production orders and communicate with coworkers in order to determine machine and equipment settings and adjustments, and supply and product specifications.
• Remove minor jammed materials from machines and readjust components as necessary to resume normal operations.
• Assemble cartons for packaging as required during manufacturing operations.
• Meet company attendance standards.
• Perform recycling procedures and other duties as necessary. (Sort, transfer, cleaning, control waste and recycling throughout the facility).
• Housekeeping and sanitation as needed or requested.
