Special Education Teacher Job Duties

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs

Adapt general education curriculum and instruction to meet diverse learning requirements

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress

Monitor, evaluate, and document student performance and growth

Maintain compliance with state and federal special education laws and district policies

Federal and State Requirements

Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or related field

Active New Hampshire Special Education certification required

Strong understanding of IDEA and IEP processes

Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Must complete all background and fingerprinting clearances required by the state
