Underwriting Assistant

A company is looking for an Underwriting Assistant (Inland Marine) to support Underwriters and assist with customer interactions.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and organize electronic policy files according to department standards

Issue policies and process endorsements, cancellations, and reinstatements within required timeframes

Provide customer service by responding to requests for status updates and information promptly

Required Qualifications

1-2 years of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance industry experience

Basic to intermediate skills with MS Word, Outlook, and Excel

Self-motivation and ability to prioritize workload with minimal supervision

Ability to make sound business decisions within level of authority
