Intimate knowledge of the following :

Object storage platforms and protocols (Swiftstack and MinIO)

Prefer redhat enterprise linux certified

Years Experience?

We are looking for a SME SwiftStack Engineer with at least 5 yrs. as Swiftstack expert

Minimum 10 yrs. in IT over all

Too much on the architectural side and not enough on the operations side for Swiftstack

  • Difficulty with feedback :  struggles to incorporate constructive criticism.
  • Lack of independence :  unable to work independently.
  • Communication issues :  communication skills need significant improvement.
  • Technical deficiencies : technical deficiencies in basic system administration.

    Additional Notes

    1 - 2 virtual interviews with customer

  • Support VCP object storage platforms, Swiftstack (legacy object storage platform) and MinIO (directional object storage platform)
  • Review MOPs from Engineering organization
  • MinIO Cluster Operations and Maintenance
  • MinIO and HAProxy code version upgrades
  • Triage and remediation of failed servers and / or services (MinIO and HAProxy nodes)
  • Working with hardware support to remediate hardware faults and do hardware replacements
  • Tenant / Cluster Support
  • Field trouble tickets from clients using object storage and resolve issues
  • Support internal Verizon applications in the migration from Swiftstack to MinIO
  • Intimate knowledge of the following :

    • Object storage platforms and protocols (Swiftstack and MinIO)

  • HAProxy load balancers
  • RHEL systems
