Job Summary : We are seeking a dedicated and professional individual to join our healthcare team as a Full-Time Front Desk Person / Medical Assistant. This dual role requires excellent organizational skills, a compassionate demeanor, and the ability to handle a variety of administrative, clinical, and surgical scheduling tasks in a fast-paced medical office environment.

Responsibilities :

  • Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Manage phone calls, schedule appointments, and assist with patient inquiries.
  • Verify patient insurance information and process necessary paperwork.
  • Maintain a clean and welcoming reception area.
  • Assist with patient registration and check-in processes.
  • Update and maintain electronic health records (EHR) accurately.
  • Coordinate surgical scheduling, ensuring all necessary pre-operative paperwork and clearances are obtained.
  • Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare room for providers.
  • Assist healthcare providers during examinations, procedures, and treatments.
  • Coordinate surgical procedures, liaising between patients, surgeons, and surgical facilities.
  • Schedule pre-operative consultations, tests, and appointments as required.
  • Ensure all surgical authorizations, consents, and paperwork are completed accurately and on time.
  • Communicate surgical instructions and post-operative care information to patients.
  • Provide patients with instructions and information about procedures, surgeries, and treatments.
  • Ensure patient comfort and confidentiality at all times.
  • Respond to patient inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Work closely with medical and administrative staff to ensure efficient patient flow and office operations.

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant certification preferred.
  • Previous experience in a medical office setting or healthcare environment strongly preferred.
  • Experience with surgical scheduling and understanding of surgical procedures and requirements.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic computer skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
