The Site Manager is responsible for managing the project scope of work, developing and maintaining project schedules, and ensuring the successful execution of all on-site construction activities. This role requires strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and a deep understanding of structural steel construction processes.
Site Manager LIC Division Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee the execution of the project scope of work, ensuring all activities align with project specifications, drawings, and contractual requirements.
Develop, monitor, and update project schedules to ensure timely completion of milestones and deliverables. Coordinate suppliers and other stakeholders to align schedules and resources.
Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities, including steel erection, rigging, welding, and bolting, ensuring compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and project plans.
Manage and motivate on-site teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations and protocols, conducting regular site inspections and safety meetings to maintain a safe working environment.
Ensure all work meets quality standards and specifications, coordinating with quality assurance teams to address any issues promptly.
Oversee the allocation and utilization of materials, equipment, and labor to optimize productivity and minimize waste.
Act as the primary point of contact for on-site activities, liaising with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients to provide updates and resolve issues.
Identify and address challenges or conflicts that arise during construction, implementing effective solutions to keep the project on track.
Maintain accurate records of daily activities, progress reports, and any changes to the project scope or schedule.
Site Manager LIC Division Qualifications
Minimum of 6 years of experience in a structural steel / fabrication environment.
Strong knowledge of structural steel construction processes, including erection techniques, welding standards, and safety regulations.
OSHA 30 certified and familiarity with AISC regulations.
Proven ability to lead diverse teams and manage multiple subcontractors effectively.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with stakeholders and document project progress.
Ability to think critically and resolve issues efficiently under tight deadlines.
Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) and basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office).
