Description :
Evaluates claimants and clients by administering tests and measurements.
Tests include range of motion, gait, and functional analysis, as well as neurological assessments.
Determines individual rehabilitation program needs based on evaluations.
Provides or oversees ongoing assessment of claimants' and clients' rehabilitation.
Prepares, transmits, and maintains measurement and assessment records.
Reports tests, assessments, and measurements to interdisciplinary teams as requested.
Participates in writing and presentation of individual claimant and client treatment plans.
Formulates goals and plans appropriate physical therapy treatment.
Plans periodic reassessment of claimants' and clients' progress.
Revises treatment plans as necessary.
Participates in ongoing continuing education and in-service training.
Engages in research projects and program development.
Involves in training of pre-clinical and clinical physical therapy students.
Trains physical therapy assistant students and licensed physical therapy assistants.
Provides guidance to therapy aides.
