LMI is seeking a skilled mid to senior level Backend Software Developer to support a client in the Washington, DC metro area.

Responsibilities

In this role you will work directly with the architect, software developers, engineers, and data analysts to expand an existing framework of the enterprise version of our core modeling and simulation (M&S) software. Experience with Python and Java is a must, with knowledge of Gitlab CI / CD processes being a plus. You will also work with node.js and TypeScript when interacting with the front-end developers. This is a chance to use your skills to build and rapidly scale a micro-service-based architecture on a cloud solution. The software will support collaborative simulations and analysis for the warfighter and potentially many other areas of the U.S. Government. The successful candidate must enjoy working in a highly innovative fast-paced environment, where you not only answer difficult questions, but you also help formulate the questions themselves.

Further you will be an inovative and pivotal team meber supporting the following areas :

Rapidly developing code using best practices and test-driven-development in a fast-paced environment

• Expanding existing code for micro-services in a distributed, elastic, environment
• Breaking complex systems down into simple services for simulation and modeling of scenarios
• Collaborating with other engineers to leverage feature development across projects
• Actively participate in all agile sprint ceremonies
• Demonstrating your developments to customers
