Youth Opportunity is a nationally recognized leader in residential and behavioral health treatment for at-risk youth. Bartlett Primary Assessment Center is a 32-bed program serving male youth ages 13 to 17 who require temporary care in a secure, trauma-informed setting while awaiting placement.
Operating year-round, the center provides intake, observation, and comprehensive multidisciplinary assessments to support Tennessee Department of Childrens Services (DCS) in identifying each youths strengths and needs. Services include daily care, education, physical and mental health support, independent living, and social skills development. The average length of stay is approximately 30 days.

We are hiring a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our clinical team in Bartlett. This role is ideal for an LPC seeking to work in youth behavioral health, juvenile care, or residential treatment. You will provide direct clinical services, support mental health needs, and assist in stabilizing youth during intake and assessment.

Coordinate the implementation of individualized mental health and substance abuse treatment plansProvide ongoing evaluation, assessment, and counseling to youth and their families under supervision of a licensed mental health professionalProvide individual, group, and family therapyDocument treatment progress through weekly notes, treatment plans, reviews, and aftercare plansDevelop behavioral health discharge and aftercare plansAssess family dynamics and develop targeted intervention plansCollaborate with leadership to support performance improvement and ensure compliance with policies and proceduresAdditional Duties
Participate in daily routines and activities with youth and counselorsMaintain high standards of role-model behavior for youthParticipate in required training and professional development activitiesReport any incidents or potential concerns according to policyPerform other duties as assignedRequired Qualifications
Must be licensed as one of the following : LMFT, LPC, LCSW, or Licensed PsychologistMasters degree from an accredited university in counseling, social work, psychology, rehabilitation, or related human services fieldTwo years experience working with children with serious emotional disturbances or substance abuse preferred (not required if holding an appropriate Masters degree)Ability to pass background check and drug screenPreferred Experience
Experience with group work modalities and techniquesStrong clinical judgment and organizational skillsWillingness to work with youth in challenging situationsOther Requirements
Physical Demands : Must be in good physical health and emotionally stable. Must be able to move throughout the property and actively participate in youth activities. Must be able to transport youth or staff. Must be free of communicable diseases as defined by the state.Other : Must maintain a valid state drivers license.
