Software Controls Engineer

Title : Software Controls Engineer

Location : Tonawanda, NY

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Software Controls Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control systems for industrial applications. You will work closely with our engineering team to ensure that our software and control systems meet the needs of our clients, while adhering to industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop control software for PLC and SCADA systems
Implement and maintain software for various industrial control applications
Collaborate with electrical engineers to create integrated control systems
Test and validate software solutions to ensure reliability and performance
Provide technical support for existing control systems and troubleshoot issues
Document software designs, processes, and procedures for future reference
Stay current with industry trends and advancements in control software technology

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field

Proven experience in software development for control systems

Strong knowledge of SCADA, PLC programming, and industrial automation

Familiarity with FDA regulations and compliance standards

Proficiency in programming languages such as Visual Basic and Python

Experience with Microsoft SQL for database management

Hands-on experience with Siemens, Rockwell, and GE iFIX systems

Knowledge of XL Reporter for reporting and data analysis

Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and motor controls

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively
