Cardiac Patient Care Manager

Facilitates and manages ongoing department operations, including quality and data management, regulatory compliance, customer experience, fiscal, and human resources processes. Supports and ensures comprehensive cardiac patient care services are provided that support the integrity of the family system and patient care team. Proactively supports efforts that ensure delivery of safe dialysis patient care and services and promote a safe environment at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.

Experience :

  • 2 years of experience in management / administration
  • 2 years of clinical nursing experience
  • 1 year of dialysis patient care experience in a similar size, similar scope hospital

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Master's degree in nursing, business, management, or other healthcare related field
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Emergency Assessment
  • Acute and outpatient clinical dialysis experience.
  • Pediatrics, cardiac, neonatal, or critical care experience
  • Dialysis-specific management experience
  • Education :

  • Bachelor of Science in nursing
  • Certification Summary :

  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the single State of Georgia or Multi-State through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Professional Nursing Certification deemed by department required upon one year of hire.

  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, including Joint Commission and CMS.
  • Leads unit in creation of staffing effectiveness monitors.
  • Oversees follow-up to occurrence notification system reports.
  • Participates in departmental assessment of national recognition data collection processes.
  • Allocates resources to work toward care standardization and performance improvement in accordance with evidence-based practice.
  • Partner with Medical Director to oversee the development, implementation, and oversight for the Dialysis QAPI Plan.
