Responsibilities Work in a Medical Surgical unit at a large hospital setting Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19 : 00-07 : 00) Patient ratio is typically 1 : 7, working with a team nursing model with support from PCCs, LPNs, and others Floats may be required to similar units and campuses within a 20-mile radius Assignment may require on-call and some weekend shifts Team nursing structure in place with support from multidisciplinary staff Floating to other campuses is rare unless otherwise specified All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application; modifications are not permitted after offer Must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays if assignment spans Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s; if only 2 occur, must work 1 Returning travelers must have a one-year separation from previous employment at this health system to be eligible Vaccination status must be documented Travelers should be prepared to adhere to strict compliance and eligibility requirements Requirements Active TN or compact RN license in hand; no pending licensure accepted Minimum of 2 years of recent Med / Surg experience required, preference for 3 years At least 1 completed previous travel assignment is required Level I trauma center experience is required Experience in large hospital settings required Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher Cerner EMR experience preferred Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible First-time travelers are not accepted Must provide a copy of driver’s license for consideration Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-620441.
