A Brief Overview

The therapist is learning and incorporating the mission statement and standards of behavior of his / her hospital or care facility. This therapist performs basic competencies within orientation and provides satisfactory respiratory therapy with minimum supervision.

What You Will Do

Medicated aerosol delivery\n
Airway clearance therapy\n
Patient monitoring\n
Oxygen and humidity therapy\n
Special procedures (CPR, specialty gases, bronchoscopy, transport, etc.)\n \n
Additional Responsibilities

Performs other duties as assigned.\n
Complies with all policies and standards.\n

Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.\n
Qualifications
Education
Associate's Degree in Respiratory (Required) orBachelor's Degree in Respiratory (Required)Work Experience
1+ years Respiratory Therapy (Preferred)Licenses and Certifications
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required)Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (Preferred)Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (Preferred)Membership in the AARC (Preferred)NRP Certification (Neonatal facilities) (Required within 6 Months)Preferred Qualifications / Position Details
At least one year of recent Pulmonary Rehab experience is strongly preferred. Previous work in a hospital is also preferred. This is a part time position, 20 hours per week.
Employees who are hired to work 16-34 hours per week will be awarded a $5,000 sign on bonus : $1,500 to be paid out the next applicable pay period after 90 days of employment, $3,500 to be paid out following the 1 year mark, based on performance. Enhanced PTO for candidates with 5+ years of relevant work experience
