What you'll own (Responsibilities)

  • Full-time, on-site role in a collaborative, team-based manufacturing environment where dependable, regular attendance is essential to team safety and performance.
  • Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs; production areas must be staffed for safety and may extend beyond scheduled shifts or require additional hours.
  • Accurately check schedules, Batch Cards, and equipment settings to ensure correct materials and hose lengths.
  • Operate cutter and expander machines using foot pedals; install correct fittings and assemble hose to specification.
  • Winding, coiling, labeling, strapping / wire-tying, carton assembly, side labeling, and conveyor placement for finished coils.
  • Maintain precise daily production records and consistently meet established productivity standards.
  • Execute quality checks (including length checks) and identify quality issues promptly.
  • Prepare samples and orders; print carton labels using a computerized label printer and supply labels to assemblers.
  • Provide finishing tables with unassembled cartons and other operational supplies as needed.
  • Make sound operational decisions that maintain production levels; perform related duties as required or directed.
  • Understand quality parameters for customer return orders and help train teammates on processes and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Ability to recognize quality problems and follow safety policies and procedures.
  • Comfort operating in a self-directed environment; complete tasks thoroughly and on time.
  • Reading and writing skills typically acquired through a high school education or equivalent.
  • Physical requirements

  • Stand for extended periods; squat, bend, twist, and turn as needed.
  • Strong manual and mechanical dexterity to perform assembly tasks.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
