THE OPPORTUNITY
Dillard's has an exciting opening in the Equipment Services Department for an Electronics Repair Technician at the Maumelle, Arkansas, Distribution Center. Our technicians are the backbone of our company's hardware repair. They work on everything from our point of sale systems, mobile checkouts, printers, PCs, televisions, security cameras, and more. If you have a passion for learning and enjoy brands like Honeywell, Zebra, DataLogic Scanning Mobility Devices, and Android, we are offering you the opportunity to get hands-on training and advance within our department.
THE TEAM
The Electronics Repair team is a small but mighty team of 25 on-site members and 10 off-site technicians who integrate and configure all new hardware as well as refresh configurations for legacy hardware. As a technician on our team, you will be part of a fast-paced, hands-on environment that is an integral part of our company. Our technicians work closely, finalizing repairs, keeping up with inventory needs, and making sure items are shipped out on time.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Inspect and test electronic equipment, components, diagnose and locate circuit, component, and equipment faults
- Request equipment and supplies to maintain inventory and ensure the availability of required items to complete the necessary installation / repair
- Complete work orders and tests
- Provide logistics to / from stores for defective and repaired equipment
- Occasional travel out of state may be required, but will mostly be local
THE "MUST-HAVES"
Must have an A+ Certification within the first 6 months of hireMust be able to lift over 50 lbs without restrictions.Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorshipAbility to perform occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and / or pulling; some climbing and balancing; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and / or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterityTHE "NICE-TO-HAVES"

Be exposed to all of the types of equipment we serviceUnderstand how to package completed equipment to ship outHave a solid understanding of how to use Pro-ShipBe comfortable navigating appropriate shipping lanesBe comfortable completing general troubleshooting and diagnosis of scanning devices, gateways, and access points, and other miscellaneous related hardware.WITHIN 2 MONTHS, YOU'LL
By 60 days, the technician should be working independently and should have a good understanding of our daily procedures with minimal guidanceAbility to start cross-training into another area of the team focused on different hardwareGeneral basic knowledge of Android operating systems and other related software.WITHIN 3 MONTHS, YOU'LL
Employees should be able to help with any special projects that are assigned.Handle all 6 micro areas with minimal guidanceIf not already A+ certified, the technician should have at least 50% of tests completeBe comfortable going on call for hardware replacements in 1-week rotations.No immigration sponsorship (ex. H-1B, TN, STEM OPT) is available for this position
