Appointment Scheduling :Schedule patient appointments for exams, cleanings, treatments, and follow-up visits.
- Manage the daily and weekly dental calendar to ensure optimal patient flow and availability of the dental team.
- Confirm patient appointments via phone, email, or text, and reschedule appointments as necessary.
- Ensure adequate time is allocated for each procedure based on the dentist’s or hygienist’s requirements.
- Patient Communication :
Answer patient calls, address inquiries, and provide information about available services.
- Communicate appointment reminders, cancellations, and any changes to patients.
- Assist in handling emergency appointment requests and urgent patient needs.
- Record Management :
Maintain patient records, updating personal information and insurance details as needed.
- Input appointment data into the practice management software and ensure it is accurate.
- Ensure that patient files are organized and easy to access by the dental team.
- Office Organization & Support :
Help manage office supplies and materials as necessary for the day-to-day operations.
- Work closely with the dental assistants, hygienists, and dentists to ensure smooth patient flow.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients.
- Problem Solving :
Address patient concerns, complaints, and scheduling conflicts in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Resolve issues relating to double bookings or cancellations, while maintaining a calm demeanor.
- Patient Check-in and Check-out :
Greet patients upon arrival and check them in for their scheduled appointments.
- Collect co-pays and payments, ensuring that patients are aware of any outstanding balances or charges
