The Hermeus Security team is responsible for day-to-day security operations across the corporation enterprise.

The Industrial Security Specialist (AFSO) will lead and support all aspects of personnel, physical, and information security in compliance with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and federal contract requirements. This role oversees classified and controlled unclassified information (CUI) programs, clearance processing, facility inspections, and access management across multiple sites, while serving as a key liaison with government agencies, law enforcement, and internal leadership. The AFSO implements security policies and ensures the highest standards of compliance and protection for people, facilities, and information.

Responsibilities :

• Responsible for all personnel and physical security operations to include but not limited to onsite facilities, offsite and remote locations.
• Process and protect personally identifiable information (PII) and other sensitive, personal information with regards to reporting responsibilities in a professional manner.
• Enforce Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) security requirements embedded in our federal contracts, related to federal client-designated CUI / sensitive information and personnel security program requirements.
• Write Policy and Guidebooks pertaining to company Standard Practice Procedures (SPP) to include templates, technical guidance, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and overall SPP management.
• Prepare, maintain, and protect official records auditable by U.S. Government representatives.
• Manage access of support vendors, consultants, and contactors to facilities.
• Interact with functional business units, senior management, and government representatives.
• Liaison with local and federal law enforcement, federal investigators, and emergency response personnel.
• Interpret and administer existing policies and develop, document, implement, and communicate revisions to existing policies or new policies, processes, procedures and training.
• Manage foreign travel security and reporting programs in an effective manner and submit reports to CSA.
• Track security clearance investigations and perform administrative support functions to include DISS, NISS, NBIS, and eAPP administration.
• Provide security briefings, debriefings, and awareness training for site personnel.
• Process necessary badge and CaC requests for employees and update physical security control systems.
• Review the details and requirements issued in formal DD254 contracts Review of required forms and draft subcontract DD254s.
• Process and screen security forms (SF86) of various background investigations, and associated paperwork for accuracy.
• Conduct annual self-inspections for the entire facility as well as any Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF) and Open Storage Areas (OSA).
• Provide oversight and administration of classified spaces.
• Manage a diverse team of multiple security disciplines and actually budget and forecast future requirements

$116,875 - $158,125 a year
