Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the general direction of the Manager of Cardiology, coordinates and provides patient care and assumes individual responsibility and accountability for the provision of nursing care as related to the Outpatient Cardiac Testing Center. Administers medications, monitors patient vital signs / EKG, performs continual patient assessment during patient’s stay in the testing center. Documents accurate nursing records and patient data. Coordinates patient teaching and post procedure assessment. Performs emergency cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Assists with and participates in in-service education. Collects and assembles data for data base, outcome analysis and performance improvement. Coordinates the daily schedule and makes pre and post procedure calls to patients in collaboration with registrar. Works collaboratively with physicians to manage care.

About this Unit :

• The hours will between 0730-1600 M-F, no Holidays or weekends.
• Perform cardiac stress testing for Stress Echo / Treadmill Only exams / Cardiac Nuclear Stress Test and Cardiac PET stress testing.
• Cross trained in Venous Ablation procedures and the Syncope Clinic.
