Job Title : 1099 Field Service Technician – Barrister Job Type : Independent Contractor (1099) Location : Multiple locations across the U.S. About the Role : Barrister is seeking experienced 1099 Field Service Technicians to support our growing client base. This is a contractor role ideal for skilled technicians looking for flexible work, paid per assignment. Responsibilities : Perform on-site service calls, including PC, laptop, printer, and networking support. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software issues. Install and configure computer equipment, peripherals, and networking devices. Provide timely and professional service following client requirements. Complete required documentation after each assignment. Requirements : Proven experience in IT field service, desktop support, or related technical role. Strong knowledge of PC / laptop hardware, printers, and networking basics. Reliable transportation and ability to travel locally for assignments. Must have a smartphone with email and internet access. Professional communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently as a self-employed contractor. Contract Details : Position is 1099 (independent contractor) – you set your availability. Compensation is per completed assignment. Flexible scheduling – ideal as supplemental or project-based work.
