Cook Position

Summary : The BOH-Cook consists of 3 positions : The Wheel, The Grill and The Finisher. The Wheel pulls and reads the tickets, then sets up the sandwich. The Grill position primary job is working the grill which includes weighing and warming the proper protein. The Finisher tops the sandwich with the appropriate toppings then assembles the order for dine in or to go. Our goal is to get our guest in and out of the deli as quick as possible. To attain this goal our standards are to keep ticket times to less than 6 minutes. Therefore, The Wheel plays a critical role in starting the sandwich as soon as the ticket prints. When the product gets delivered to the guest it should be just as the guest ordered and according to SMD specs.

Food preparation is done on a daily basis using the SMD issued prep list. The Manager assures that we have enough products prepped, the prep list is completed and the prepped items are up to our specifications and standards. Refer to the recipe book as needed.

Qualifications :

• Able to work in a team environment

• Able to read guest tickets
• Time management skills
• Must be able to work on your feet for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
