Security Officer - Government Patrol

As a Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

Position Type : Part Time

Pay Rate : $16.75 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTimeSat06 : 00 AM - 02 : 00 PMSun06 : 00 AM - 02 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior.
  • Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and interactions according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Support access control measures by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying identification when required.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter unwanted activity and foster a sense of security for staff and visitors.
  • Assist with emergency response activities, such as evacuations and medical incidents, in accordance with site-specific protocols.
  • Communicate and collaborate with Allied Universal management and local officials as necessary regarding incidents, concerns, or observations.

  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license is required for this position.
