SUMMARY :
We are currently seeking a Phlebotomy EKG Technician to join our team. This part time role will work 48 hours within a two week pay period on a rotating schedule. The shifts rotate from 10 : 00 PM to 6 : 30 AM, 1 : 00 PM to 9 : 30 PM, and 2 : 00 PM to 10 : 30 PM. It also includes rotating weekends and holidays, as well as last minute overtime (as needed / scheduled) into the next shift.
- Purpose of this position :
- Under general supervision, performs work which involves collecting laboratory specimens and / or performing EKG testing on inpatients. Enters data into the electronic health record (EHR) and / or the laboratory information system (LIS). Interacts and communicates with patients, their families, and members of the healthcare team by using various communication tools in a timely and professional manner

Performs blood drawing procedures including venipuncture and capillary collection, standard labeling, and transporting specimens according to specimen requirements and standard protocolEKG specific tasksPerforms electrocardiogram procedure and transfers data to EHROperates and performs routine maintenance on EKG cart according to procedureFollows critical value provider protocol notification and documentationQUALIFICATIONS :
