Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Summary :
Performs a wide range of Nuclear Medicine procedures requiring independent judgment, technical expertise, and adherence to radiation safety standards. Ensures safe, accurate, and high-quality imaging for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.
Key Responsibilities :
Prepare, measure, and administer radiopharmaceuticals according to protocol and safety guidelines.
Perform and monitor Nuclear Medicine procedures using gamma cameras, PET, and SPECT systems.
Maintain and perform quality control on all imaging and laboratory equipment.
Establish and manage IV access using aseptic technique.
Adhere to Radiation Safety and NRC regulations, applying ALARA principles at all times.
Qualifications :
Proficient in Radiopharmacy, instrumentation, and radiation safety practices.
Knowledge of dose calibrators, radiation detectors, and quality assurance procedures.
