Position Overview
We are hiring multiple Machinist positions across several departments, focused on high-mix, low-volume aerospace and wheel production.

- CNC Lathe Machinist
- CNC Mill Machinist
- Conventional Lathe Machinist
- Wheel Setup Machinist

1?? CNC Lathe Machinist
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC lathes for precision aerospace and wheel componentsRead and interpret complex blueprints and GD&TPerform offsets, edits, and minor program changesConduct in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and precision toolsEnsure parts meet tight aerospace tolerances and surface finish standardsQualifications
3+ years of CNC lathe experience preferredFamiliarity with aerospace or automotive materials and tooling best practices2?? CNC Mill Machinist
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC milling machinesLoad programs, adjust speeds and feeds, and perform in-process inspectionsChange and set tooling for a variety of materialsMaintain tight tolerances on complex, short-run componentsQualifications
3+ years of CNC milling experience preferredExperience with tight-tolerance, high-precision parts a plus3?? Conventional Lathe Machinist
Key Responsibilities
Operate large manual lathes for turning operationsMachine custom tooling and components used in forging and formingCollaborate with engineers and machinists to improve machining processesRead engineering prints and machine to specified tolerancesQualifications
5+ years of conventional machining experience requiredSkilled with large steel alloys, tooling, and custom components4?? Wheel Setup Machinist
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and assemble tooling and fixtures for wheel machining jobsSet up and align part programs and cutting tools for precision machiningWork with programmers and engineers to streamline setup processesTrack tooling usage, part performance, and process improvementsQualifications
Experience in wheel machining or high-precision manufacturing preferredUnderstanding of CNC operations and setupsGeneral Requirements (All Roles)
High school diploma or GED requiredAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periodsProficient in blueprint reading and precision measurement toolsStrong work ethic, reliability, and team-oriented mindsetWillingness to work overtime and flexible shifts as neededWhy Join AST
