The Home Care Administrator / Operator plays a pivotal leadership role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Brooklyn-based office, ensuring seamless service delivery across New York City's five boroughs. This position is essential for maintaining operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and high standards of care in a fast-paced home care environment. Reporting directly to senior leadership, the Administrator / Operator will drive strategic initiatives, manage cross-functional teams, and foster a culture of excellence to support our mission of providing unparalleled home health services. This is a full-time, in-office role located in Brooklyn, New York, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of clients and caregivers alike.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operational activities, including staff scheduling, client intake processes, and service coordination to ensure timely and effective care delivery across the five boroughs.
- Lead and mentor a team of administrative, clinical, and support staff, promoting professional development, performance evaluations, and team collaboration.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including New York State Department of Health standards, JCAHO accreditation requirements, and Medicaid guidelines.
- Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance service efficiency and client satisfaction.
- Manage budgeting, resource allocation, and financial reporting, including monitoring expenses related to staffing, supplies, and program administration.
- Build and maintain relationships with referral sources, healthcare partners, and community organizations to expand service reach and support business growth.
- Handle client and family inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and conduct regular assessments to align services with individual needs.
- Utilize data analytics and reporting tools to track key performance indicators, such as client outcomes, staff productivity, and program utilization.
- Coordinate with clinical teams to support specialized programs like CDPAP, NHTD, pediatric care, and therapy services.
- Participate in emergency response planning and on-call rotations as needed to address urgent operational needs.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in healthcare operations, with a strong preference for homecare or home health services; candidates with broader healthcare administration experience will also be considered.Proven track record in leadership roles, including team management, process optimization, and regulatory compliance in a New York-based healthcare setting.In-depth knowledge of New York State home care regulations, Medicaid programs (including CDPAP and NHTD), and insurance reimbursement processes.Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, client-focused environment.Proficiency in healthcare management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and data analysis tools.Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with diverse stakeholders, including clients, families, staff, and external partners.Commitment to ethical practices, cultural sensitivity, and promoting a supportive workplace culture.Ability to work full-time in our Brooklyn office, with occasional travel within the five boroughs as required.Certification in healthcare administration (e.g., Certified Home Care Executive) is a plus.Compensation
The base salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $150,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. For seasoned veteran professionals with extensive relevant expertise, compensation can be doubled, exclusively based on prior experiences and demonstrated achievements in homecare or healthcare operations.
