Position Summary

As a vital member of our Emergency Department (ED), you will thrive in a culture of teamwork and effective communication, essential for providing specialized care to critically ill patients. Our 11-bed unit ensures that patients receive optimal medical attention and support. You will make a significant impact by utilizing your specialized care interventions and serving as a patient-care innovator, shaping exceptional patient journeys every day with cutting-edge technology.

Your Responsibilities

Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.

Document patient care provided.

Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.

Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, nutrition, and ambulation.

Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, and psychosocial support.

Evaluate learning needs of patients and families, providing education tailored to age, culture, and circumstances.

Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.

Minimum Qualifications

Education :

Associate's degree in nursing required

Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred

1+ years of ER experience preferred

Certifications :

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.

ACLS & PALS required within 6 months of hire.

License :

Current RN license in the state of Kentucky.
