We are a mid-size law firm in Downtown Chicago that's looking to hire a Legal Billing Specialist ASAP!

Job Details

Scope of Responsibilities :

  • Prepare and distribute monthly pre-bills for attorney review and approval
  • Revise pre-bills as directed in an accurate and timely manner
  • Finalize and distribute complex invoices through submission to clients, including various e-billing platforms
  • Prepare, submit, track and monitor e-bills through various client billing platforms; timely address all rejected invoices; research, resolve and reconcile invoice issues
  • Respond to client and attorney billing inquiries promptly and completely; research related issues; maintain superior level of client service
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date client and / or billing attorney specific billing instructions
  • Open client matters in time and billing system, review for accuracy and consistency
  • Review daily cash reports for relevant client and matter payments; identify, reconcile, and apply payments; monitor collections
  • Input AP Invoices into accounting system
  • Create billing reports and spreadsheets for analysis as required

    • Qualifications :

  • 1+ years of billing and / or e-billing experience within a professional services or law firm (preferred)
  • Microsoft Office Suite with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of billing, e-billing, LEDES formatting, and accounting systems preferred
