As an Allied Universal Security Officer assigned to an access control post within a utilities location, you will monitor entry points, manage badge access, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. Your presence and attention to detail will contribute to a secure environment for employees and visitors. You will interact with individuals in a professional manner, provide exceptional customer service, and support the overall operations of the site. Pay Rate : $13.66 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

Thur 06 : 00 AM - 06 : 00 PM

Fri 06 : 00 AM - 06 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Assist with controlling access to the location by verifying credentials and monitoring entry points to help deter unauthorized access.
  • Follow site-specific policies and Allied Universal procedures related to access control and security-related activities.
  • Provide customer service by greeting visitors, responding to inquiries, and assisting staff and guests in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, utilizing problem-solving skills to address issues as they arise.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter, observing for unusual activity and reporting any concerns.
  • Document all activities, observations, and incidents according to site protocols and Allied Universal standards.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed, following established protocols for the location.

  • Minimum Requirements :

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
