  • Shift : Night, 3x12-hour shifts (19 : 00 - 07 : 00)\n
  • Hours per Week : 36\n
  • Weekend Requirement : 6 shifts per 6-week schedule\n
  • Charting System : Cerner\n
  • Estimated Weekly Salary : $1670 - $1790\n
  • \n\nNICU Registered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Level III NICU RN experience required\n
  • Active DC Registered Nurse license (pending accepted with proof at submission; must be in hand by start date)\n
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications required\n
  • BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) preferred\n
  • Experience with Cerner electronic health record system preferred\n
  • Ability to float to Pediatric Transplant, Pediatric, and PICU units as needed\n
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts (days / nights may vary)\n
  • Two supervisor references required\n
  • First-time travel nurses accepted with required experience\n
  • Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)\n
  • \n\nNICU RN Responsibilities\n \n

  • Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to neonates in a Level III / IV NICU environment\n
  • Monitor and manage critically ill infants, including those requiring ventilator support, surgery, and advanced neonatal procedures\n
  • Administer medications, blood products, and perform procedures such as central line care, high-frequency ventilation, and therapeutic hypothermia\n
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including physicians, respiratory therapists, and social workers\n
  • Educate and support families throughout the NICU stay\n
  • Float to related pediatric units as needed to provide clinical support\n
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner\n
  • Adhere to hospital policies, infection control, and patient safety protocols\n
