Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a 13-week contract in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting, requiring active OT licensure in Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility within a retirement community
  • Day shifts, Monday through Friday
  • Population primarily consists of older adults needing therapy to improve independence
  • Patients are evaluated and treated for activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • Documentation is completed using Net Health EMR
  • Develop individualized treatment plans to help residents achieve their highest level of independence
  • Provide training and education to caregivers and family members to support patient transitions
  • Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary therapy team
  • Foster and contribute to a positive, team-oriented work culture
  • No COVID-19 vaccine requirement specified

    • Requirements

  • Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Pennsylvania required
  • Experience with skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or geriatric care preferred
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills are required
  • Active CPR certification required
  • Completion of a 2-step PPD or TB blood test required
  • State and Federal Background Check, as well as fingerprinting if applicable, are required
  • MMR and Hepatitis B status documentation required
  • Physical examination required
