• Depending on your location, you may be eligible for up to $8,000 in relocation assistance! \n\nThe Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at St. Catherine Hospital is an eight-bed ICU. We staff an intensivist 24 hours per day, we care for a wide range of patients from sepsis, COPD exacerbation, respiratory distress, pneumonia, heat failure, GI bleed, renal failure and overdose. We take care of patients with art lines, central lines, intubations, procedures and telemetry monitoring for floor patients as well. We occasionally receive over flow from the med / surg floor if they are full.\n\nWe are on a mission to provide the best care for all patients, from pediatrics to geriatrics and all those in between. Individuals might want to join our department because we are known for our collaborative teamwork. We are more of a family than co-workers. The employees support one another and never leave anyone behind. We can self-schedule and have a chance to develop a multitude of skills. The impact you will make in our faith-based, mission-driven culture will cultivate excellence and achieve professional fulfillment united in humankindness.\n\nAs a Registered Nurse (RN) you will assume responsibility and accountability for : \n\n+ Facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient / family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient.\n\n+ Promote the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act.\n\n+ Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.\n\nQualifications : \n\nIn addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified nursing candidates will need the following : \n
• Education Requirements \n\n+ Associates Degree in Nursing required; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement\n\n+ Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred\n\n+ Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RNs\n
• Experience Requirements \n\n+ One year RN experience\n\n+ Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty\n
• Licenses / Certification Requirements \n\n+ RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact\n
