Machine Operator – 2nd Shift
Location : Shelby Township, MI
Schedule : Monday–Friday, 3 : 00 PM – 11 : 00 PM
Pay Rate : $18.50 – $19.50 per hour
Position Summary
We are seeking a 2nd Shift Operator to support production operations in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for running machines, performing inspections, and maintaining equipment to ensure consistent quality and output.
Key Responsibilities
- Load raw parts into the manufacturing cell.
- Maintain scrap bins, chip hoppers, and machine coolants / lubes.
- Perform routine machine cleaning (sweeping, mopping, filter changes).
- Run production parts and CMM programs as needed.
- Inspect parts at required intervals and respond to dimensional trends.
- Chart dimensional data and track process capability.
- Complete production and downtime reporting.
- Adjust machine settings or change tools as required.
- Monitor machine operations to detect and address malfunctions.
- Perform titrations and adjust concentrations for coolants and wash solutions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform basic machine maintenance per instructions.
