Summary of Duties

As an employee working within the Stabilization and Crisis Unit (SACU), you will be part of a program that provides 24-hour residential care to Oregonians with intellectual / developmental disabilities, often with co-occurring mental health diagnoses, whose support needs exceed the supports offered by other community-based residential programs. SACU provides development and support to assist individuals in safely transitioning back to their home community. SACU staff provide life skills training, recreational opportunities and community integration, and work to maintain quality of life and independence.

As a Health Crisis Technician, you will :

• Provide direct care assistance in a 24-hour, 7 days per week residential medical group home for individuals with intellectual and / or developmental disabilities (I / DD).
• Provide behavioral management, safety, medical / health care, hygiene, nutrition, housekeeping, and other daily activities both within the home and the community.
• Maintain the home and property in a safe and sanitary manner.
• Work individually and collaboratively with other staff members as part of a team within the group home setting to provide and promote a therapeutic environment.

Minimum Qualifications

A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are required for this position.

18 months of experience providing direct care or assistance to individuals or groups with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental and / or physical disabilities, or substance abuse.

OR Possession of a Certified Nursing Aide level 2 (CNA2).

OR An associate degree in a field related to health care delivery.

OR A combination of education and experience.
