Overview

The Milford Police Department is currently accepting applications to fill vacancies for full-time Police Officer. Minimum qualifications include : a high school diploma or equivalent; be 21 years old at time of appointment; possess a valid driver\'s license; be a U.S. citizen; be in good physical condition; and possess the ability and desire to work with the public. Candidates will be required to complete a rigorous hiring process, including : written exam; physical agility testing; oral board; psychological exam; polygraph exam and medical / physical exam; as well as an extensive background check. Competitive salary range with full Town benefits.

The position requires a commitment to public service and adherence to department policies and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Meet the required minimum qualifications and successfully navigate the hiring process.
  • Perform duties of a police officer in accordance with department policies and applicable law.
  • Maintain physical fitness and readiness for duty; engage with the public in a professional manner.

Qualifications

  • H.S. diploma or equivalent
  • Be 21 years old at time of appointment
  • Possess valid driver\'s license
  • Be a U.S. citizen
  • Be in good physical condition
  • Desire to work with the public
  • Willing to complete the rigorous hiring process

    • Benefits

    NH Retirement System, Health, Dental, Vision, Life, STD, leave benefits (prorated) include 2 weeks vacation, 32 hours personal, 10 holidays and 10 sick days.

    Health insurance

  • 3 HMO plans. One with 85 / 15 premium split, one Limited Provider plan with 100% of the premium paid and one High Deductible HSA plan with 100% of the premium paid. If opting out of health insurance (requires proof of coverage on another group plan), opt out amounts are $3,500 for single, $7,000 for 2 person and $10,000 for family plan.
