PCCC is seeking qualified Adjunct Faculty to teach daytime Developmental English courses in the Fall 2025. Courses are available in the 12-week semester meeting twice or three times a week. Accelerated Academic English Courses will be available in the 6-week semester meeting four times a week throughout the semester.
Examples of Duties
- Teach assigned classes in accordance with the College's academic calendar and approved syllabi.
- Meet all scheduled class sessions.
- Maintain and report accurate student grade and attendance records using approved procedures and systems.
- Participate in assessment activities in support of the PCCC institutional effectiveness program.
- Attend professional development activities as needed
- Utilize the appropriate technology, including the College's student learning platform, to fulfill teaching duties.
Qualifications
A master’s degree in education, English or related fieldTeaching experience is required; Community college teaching experience is preferred.Experience with diverse populations preferred.Experience teaching with a Learning Management system (LMS) such as Blackboard is preferred but not required.Please specify, in your cover letter, when you are available to teach.
The completion of a background check will be required for the selected candidate.
Compensation : The pay for this position is $929 per credit taught.
