Overview

Family Law Associate Attorney (3–5 Years' Experience)

About the Role : We're looking for an effective attorney with 3–5 years of family law experience who is ready to step into an active caseload and make a difference in our clients' lives. This role offers the opportunity to be in court regularly and work closely with clients on some of the most important matters they'll face. The successful candidate shall also be the face and voice of our firm for many in-court and telephonic appearances.

What You'll Do

  • Represent clients in divorce, equitable distribution, custody, and support cases — including more complex support issues.
  • Prepare strategic and tactical steps targeted to achieving an excellent outcome for our clients.
  • Appear in court and advocate for your clients with confidence.
  • Manage all aspects of case management, from the first client meeting through resolution, with much hands-on activity, supported by an excellent staff.
  • Finalize motions, pleadings, agreements, and discovery materials prepared by our staff.
  • Review and interpret financial records, including tax returns, to advise clients and build strong cases.
  • Negotiate settlements and participate in mediation when appropriate.

What We're Looking For

  • Licensed attorney in good standing with 3–5 years of family law experience.
  • Strong courtroom presence and litigation skills.
  • Ability to review and understand tax returns and other financial records.
  • Excellent writing, research, and communication skills.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple active files.
  • A compassionate, client-focused approach to legal practice.

    • Bonus Points If You Have

  • Experience with high-asset or complex support cases.
  • Training or background in mediation or collaborative law.

    Location & Work Arrangement

    This position is based in the North Hills of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with services focusing primarily on Allegheny, Butler, and Beaver Counties. Our team physically works from the location(s) that maximize efficiency and effectiveness to best serve our clients and support each other.. Regular in-person court appearances in these counties are required.
